  • Explore the historic center: the city has many well-preserved colonial buildings, including the Basílica Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Church of Santa Barbara, and the Main Square.
  • Visit the Juan del Corral Museum: this museum is located in the House of Culture of Santa Fe de Antioquia and has a wide collection of religious art, pre-Columbian art, and historical objects related to the region.
  • Enjoy the local cuisine: the Antioquia region is known for its delicious food, especially meat-based dishes. Some of the typical dishes you can try are ajiaco, sancocho, mondongo, and bandeja paisa.


  • Climb to the top of the Piedra del Peñol: the view from the top is spectacular and is the main reason why many people visit the Piedra del Peñol. To reach the top, you have to climb 740 steps, but the effort is worth it.
